OSHA HAZWOPER 29 CFR 1910.120(e) Classroom CoursesOSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training Who Should Attend: This course is for general site workers (such as equipment operators, general laborers, and supervisory personnel) engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities that expose or potentially expose workers to hazardous substances and health hazards. Objectives: The objectives of this course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i) for general industry, and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(i) for construction. Description: This is a 5-day, 40 hour, OSHA compliant HAZWOPER classroom training session that meets the initial training requirements for the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER Standard. This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for the EPA and State OSHA regulations. Each participant who successfully completes this course will be issued a Fed-OSHA certificate from Safety Unlimited, Inc. in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
OSHA 24 Hour HAZWOPER Training Who Should Attend: This course is for workers on waste sites only occasionally for a specific limited task (such as, but not limited to, ground water monitoring, land surveying, or geophysical surveying) and who are unlikely to be exposed over permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits, and workers regularly on site who work in areas which have been monitored and fully characterized indicating that exposures are under permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits where respirators are not necessary, and the characterization indicates that there are no health hazards or the possibility of an emergency developing. Objectives: The objectives of this course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(ii) and 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(iii) for general industry, and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(ii) and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(iii) for construction. Description: This is a 3-day, 24-hour, OSHA compliant HAZWOPER classroom training session that meets the initial training requirements for the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER Standard. This 3-day training session is also the first three days of the OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training course. This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for the EPA and State OSHA regulations. Each participant who successfully completes this course will be issued a Fed-OSHA certificate from Safety Unlimited, Inc. in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training Who Should Attend: This course is required each year for anyone who has already taken the initial 24- or 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and has kept current with their annual refresher training. Objectives: The objectives of this course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(8), 29 CFR 1910.120(p)(7)(i) or 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8) for general industry, and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(8), 29 CFR 1926.65(p)(7)(i) or 29 CFR 1926.65(q)(8) for construction. Description: Our standard 1-day delivery format is one 8-hour day. This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for the EPA and State OSHA regulations as well. Each participant who successfully completes this course is issued a Fed-OSHA certificate from Safety Unlimited, Inc. in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Hands On Training Who Should Attend: This course should be taken by anyone requiring the OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification who requires hands-on training and cannot complete their training entirely online. Objectives: The objectives of this course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e), for general industry, and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(8) for construction. Description: This training will take a minimum of 8 hours to complete. Our standard 1-day delivery format is one 8-hour day. This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for the EPA and State OSHA regulations as well. Each participant who successfully completes this course will be issued a Fed-OSHA certificate from Safety Unlimited, Inc. in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
OSHA HAZWOPER 29 CFR 1910.120(q) Classroom CoursesOSHA 8 Hour First Responder Operations (FRO) Training Who Should Attend: This course is intended for firefighters, police officers, ambulance personnel, government employees, military personnel, and private industry emergency responders. Objectives: OSHA requires FROs to be trained in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120(q) of the HAZWOPER regulation. Description: First Responders at the Operations level are trained to respond to hazardous materials emergencies in a defensive fashion. Their primary role is to contain the release from a safe distance, to keep it from spreading, and to prevent exposures to nearby persons, property or the environment. This course also complies with the training requirements for First Responders Operations under State OSHA, and NFPA 472. Each participant who successfully completes this course is issued a Fed-OSHA certificate from Safety Unlimited, Inc in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120(q).
CSTI 16-Hour First Responder Operations (FRO) Training Who Should Attend: This course is intended for firefighters, police officers, ambulance personnel, government employees, military personnel, and private industry emergency responders. Objectives: OSHA requires FROs to be trained in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120(q) of the HAZWOPER regulation. Description: First Responders at the Operations level are trained to respond to hazardous materials emergencies in a defensive fashion. Their primary role is to contain the release from a safe distance, to keep it from spreading, and to prevent exposures to nearby persons, property or the environment. This course will be taught by a CSTI certified outreach instructor who has successfully completed the CSTI course AND a CSTI Instructor Certification Course. This course also complies with the training requirements for First Responders Operations under State OSHA, and NFPA 472. Each participant who successfully completes this course is issued a state certificate from CSTI/CalEMA.
OSHA 24-Hour Hazardous Materials Technician Training Who Should Attend: This course is intended for firefighters, government employees, military personnel, and private industry emergency responders who are members or becoming members of hazardous materials response teams. Objectives: OSHA requires Hazardous Materials Technicians to be trained in accordance with section (q) of the HAZWOPER regulation. This training is also referred to as Hazmat Tech, Level III Responder, Industry Tech, or any combination of these terms. Description: Hazardous Materials Technicians are trained to respond to hazardous materials emergencies in an offensive fashion. Objectives: This program will allow the participant to operate in the capacity of Entrant, Attendant, or Entry Supervisor during confined space operations. Participants will be familiarized with OSHA requirements and how to properly employ the permit program.
