For students who may be exposed to the highly toxic gas Hydrogen Sulfide at the workplace, we offer this OSHA/ANSI Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Awareness (w/Wallet ID Card) (4-hour OSHA/ANSI H2S Awareness Online) course that can be completed entirely online using a computer with an internet connection.
Training for Hydrogen Sulfide, or H2S, is essential for all workers who could be exposed to H2S during their work activities.
The level of training needed depends on the exposure level. Workers potentially exposed to low concentrations typically can take an awareness level training, while workers exposed to higher levels of H2S at or above the Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL) would likely require a more detailed, 6-hour Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Certification course.
This 4-hour OSHA/ANSI Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Awareness (w/Wallet ID Card) (4-hour OSHA/ANSI H2S Awareness Online) course not only helps fulfill the training requirements of Federal and State OSHA standards but is also intended to meet the Awareness level training requirement for ANSI/ASSP Z390.1, Accepted Practices for Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Training Programs.
For those who need awareness training, but do not require the training to meet the ANSI Z390.1 standard, we offer a 2 Hour OSHA Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Awareness Online course that is a little shorter.
Keep in mind that while this course provides information on the hazards of the gas, as well as ways to prevent and respond to exposure, you may require additional training in the use of company specific protective equipment and procedures. Training in equipment use and procedures should be provided by your employer and specific to your worksite.
This training comes with an optional PVC Photo Wallet ID card for an additional $5.00 if selected at the time of enrollment. To receive a PVC photo ID card , select the course that is priced at $39.95. Adding this option later will cost and additional $10.00.

Following the completion of all training content and achievement of passing scores on the final exam, students will need to complete a brief evaluation and confirm their identity. After doing so, the student will have access to the course completion certificate.
This course has a single final exam based upon the quizzes that appear in each section.
The Final Exam consists of 20 questions selected at random from a large pool of questions. A score of 70% or better is required to pass the Final Exam. Students who do not pass the exam the first time may retake the exam as many times as necessary in order to pass.
The objectives of this 4-hour OSHA/ANSI Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Awareness (w/Wallet ID Card) (4-hour OSHA/ANSI H2S Awareness Online) are to meet the Federal OSHA training requirements of 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, as well as state OSHA regulations. We also address the H2S Awareness training objectives for ANSI/ASSP Z390.1, Accepted Practices for Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Training Programs, as well as Canada WHMIS and CCOHS.
When required by OSHA standards, workers must receive additional training on the specific hazards of their job. If you are required to use specific equipment at your job site, you must be trained to use that equipment prior to using it at the job site.
If your employer utilizes specific engineering and administrative controls, safe work practices, or has specific emergency plans related to hydrogen sulfide or sulfur dioxide emergencies, you must be made aware of and be trained in these practices, as well as your role in the execution of the emergency plans.
