This OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Refresher with Wallet ID Card training is for workers who have received HAZWOPER Supervisor (Initial) training as a means to refresh their HAZWOPER certification at the supervisor level.
This OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Refresher with Wallet ID Card training can, as an option, be taken in lieu of a regular OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher course by those students who have already taken the HAZWOPER Supervisor (Initial) training.
Workers with HAZWOPER Supervisor (Initial) training are only expected to refresh their 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER certification. The HAZWOPER Supervisor (Initial) training only needs to be taken once and not refreshed each year. Students with HAZWOPER Supervisor (Initial) training that take this HAZWOPER Supervisor Refresher course do NOT need to take the regular HAZWOPER Refresher course as well. This course will serve as your HAZWOPER Refresher training for the year.

This OSHA accepted training is brought to you by a team of OSHA Certified Outreach Trainers and meets the requirements for 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(8), or CFR 1910.120(p)(7)(i) for General Industry, and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(8), or 29 CFR 1926.65(p)(7)(i) for Construction. This course is not intended to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8) for General Industry, or 29 CFR 1926.65(q)(8) for Construction. Per the California Department of Public Health, Safety Unlimited, Inc. is authorized to offer 8 Contact Hours (0.8 CEUs) of Continuing Education (CE) for this program.
While these CE units are intended for Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) in California, they are often transferred to other accrediting bodies. Please check with your specific agency for more details and to learn if your agency accepts this course for CE credit (Public Health Accreditation #044).

Following the completion of all training content and achievement of passing scores on all exams, students will need to complete a brief evaluation and confirm his/her identity. After doing so, the student will have access to the course completion certificate.
This fully narrated course is built for success, and includes interactions, exercises, and quiz questions intended to help prepare students for the module exams. Students must answer each quiz question and complete each interaction in order to proceed. Interactions, exercises, and knowledge checks are also provided to aid the learning experience. This course has module exams based upon the course's modules. Students are required to complete each exam after completing all the sections within the corresponding module. This allows students to take the corresponding exam while the information is still fresh. THERE IS NO FINAL EXAM.
Each exam consists of 10 questions randomly selected from a large pool of questions. A score of 70% or better is required to pass each exam. Students who do not pass the exam the first time may retake the exam as many times as necessary in order to pass.
The objectives for this course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(8), or CFR 1910.120(p)(7)(i) for General Industry, and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(8), or 29 CFR 1926.65(p)(7)(i) for Construction. This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for EPA and similar State OSHA regulations.
This course is not intended to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8) for General Industry, or 29 CFR 1926.65(q)(8) for Construction. See below for more information on meeting the refresher requirements for those section.
Employees specified in paragraph (e)(1) of this section, and managers and supervisors specified in paragraph (e)(4) of this section, shall receive eight hours of refresher training annually on the items specified in paragraph (e)(2) and/or (e)(4) of this section, any critique of incidents that have occurred in the past year that can serve as training examples of related work, and other relevant topics.
The employer shall develop and implement a training program which is part of the employer's safety and health program, for employees exposed to health hazards or hazardous substances at TSD operations to enable the employees to perform their assigned duties and functions in a safe and healthful manner so as not to endanger themselves or other employees. The initial training shall be for 24 hours and refresher training shall be for eight hours annually. Employees who have received the initial training required by this paragraph shall be given a written certificate attesting that they have successfully completed the necessary training.
Per 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8) and 29 CFR 1926.65(q)(8)
Those employees who are trained in accordance with paragraph (q)(6) of this section shall receive annual refresher training of sufficient content and duration to maintain their competencies, or shall demonstrate competency in those areas at least yearly.

This course is designed to help workers with HAZWOPER Supervisor (Initial) training meet the OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher requirement. If this course takes fewer than 8 hours to complete, it should be combined with other training conducted throughout the year to meet the 8-hour requirement. Additional training can come from hands-on training, training that is job or company specific, or even tailgate safety meetings.
When required by OSHA standards, workers must receive additional training on the specific hazards of their job. Training providers should be used to ensure credibility and augment a company's training program.
In addition to the training provided by an outside party, a student should receive site-specific training provided by his or her employer. This training should target the company's unique approach to hazard prevention, including the use of site-specific equipment, health and safety policies, and emergency procedures. As a rule, this company specific training should be well documented.
