Announcement Regarding Safety Unlimited Classroom Training (REVISED 5-19-20)
As we begin the reopening process and allow for our employees and students to return to our training centers, we want to assure you we have implemented rigorous cleaning and social distancing practices in our offices as well as our classrooms. On May 18, 2020, we were inspected and approved by our local Code Enforcement officers and were found to meet all restrictions required for our repopulation. We continue to wipe down all surfaces and equipment before and after use as well as periodically throughout the day. We will still be keeping our onsite as well as traveling course sizes reduced to maintain social distancing and have taken all steps necessary to ensure the safest environment. Any student showing signs of illness should NOT attend our training.

About This Training

The OSHA 30 Hour General Industry training is intended for supervisors and workers with some safety responsibility.

This training will...

  • Provide workers with information on how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job-related hazards on a job site.
  • Inform workers about their rights and their employer's responsibilities, and explain how to file a complaint with OSHA.
  • Cover a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter.

What is OSHA Outreach Training?

The OSHA Outreach Training Program is intended for workers covered under the OSH Act. The Occupational Safety and Health Act covers private-sector employers and their employees in the 50 states and certain territories and jurisdictions under federal authority. For this reason, OSHA Outreach Training Program classes must be limited to training conducted within OSHA's jurisdiction.

While the OSHA Outreach Training Program course is voluntary and does not meet the training requirements contained in any OSHA standard, some states and local jurisdictions have enacted laws mandating outreach training. Additionally, some employers, unions, and various other jurisdictions also require workers to have this training to work on job sites and to fulfill their own safety training goals.

For a complete list of OSHA's training-related requirements, see OSHA Publication #2254, Training Requirements in OSHA Standards and Training Guidelines.
