This course will introduce you to the purpose of RCRA, required training needed for hazardous waste handling, types of wastes, regulations governing generators of hazardous waste, how waste is managed from cradle-to-grave, how to complete a uniform hazardous waste manifest, how the government incentivizes recycling, standards for monitoring ground water and air emissions, and the hazardous waste cleanup program, CERCLA.
This online RCRA for Hazardous Waste Generator Initial Training for Supervisors course is intended for workers in a supervisory position employed where your employer generates hazardous waste as part of an industrial process.
This training is brought to you by a team of Certified Outreach Trainers and is based on EPA regulations governing the management of hazardous waste found in 40 CFR Subchapters I and J.
Per the California Department of Public Health, Safety Unlimited, Inc. is authorized to offer 14 Contact Hours (1.4 CEUs) of Continuing Education (CE) for this program.
While these CE units are intended for Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) in California, they are often transferred to other accrediting bodies. This fully narrated course is built for success and includes interactions, exercises, and quiz questions intended to help prepare students for the final exam. Students must answer each quiz question and complete each interaction in order to proceed.
This course has one final exam based upon the material in the 26 course sections.
The exam consists of 10 questions selected at random from a larger pool of questions. A score of 70% or better is required to pass each exam. Students who do not pass the exam the first time may retake it as many times as necessary in order to pass.
