  • Describe the medical surveillance process in detail; and
  • Identify the records your employer must maintain.
Prerequisites

Additional Training

When required by OSHA standards, workers must receive additional training on the specific hazards of their job. If you are required to use specific equipment at your job site, you must be trained to use that equipment prior to using it at the job site.

If your employer utilizes specific engineering and administrative controls, safe work practices, or has specific emergency plans related to chromium (VI) emergencies, you must be made aware of and trained in these practices and your role in the execution of the emergency plans.

The bottom line in ALL SITUATIONS is that employers are required to ensure that their employees are adequately trained to do their job.
