Will I receive a certificate for my online HAZWOPER Refresher? |
A - |
Yes, once you have completed all material for the course (course sections, test(s), and evaluation) you will be able to print out a certificate of completion from your student homepage or from the course menu. The certificate is in PDF format and can be downloaded as many times as you wish. Please make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader before you attempt to download the certificate.

What if refresher training isn't received in 12 months? |
A - |
This does not mean you must take the initial training all over again. Per OSHA - "If the date for refresher training has lapsed, the need to repeat the initial training must be determined based on the employee's familiarity with safety and health procedures used on site. The employee should take the next available refresher training course. There should be a record in the employee's file indicating why the training has been delayed and when the training will be completed." |

Our company is in the state of California, should I follow the federal HAZWOPER regulation or the state HAZWOPER regulation? |
A - |
For any state to have its own HAZWOPER Refresher training regulation it would have to meet or exceed the federal standards, therefore you would be better off concentrating your efforts on meeting the state regulation. Doing this by default will cover you for the federal standard. |

Can Safety Unlimited, Inc. split up 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher training over more than one day for our company? |

Yes. We often conduct training segments in 2, 3 or 4 hour blocks. We spread the training out over the number of days it takes to total 8 hours. In fact, we often will do 4 hours on a Saturday, and 4 hours on a Sunday at a nice location and provide our popular customized annual refresher . |

Since you may save over $100.00 by taking our online course, first we recommend you spend $10 and take our online Terrorism Awareness Course for Civilians. Secondly, it is always good to take your significant other for a fine meal. Let us know how it goes. |

How long does the course take? |

Our courses are set up to take a specific amount of time. Some students may get through the HAZWOPER Refresher training more quickly, while some students may actually take longer to complete their training. Remember this training should be used as an intricate tool in the context of an overall training program and can be combined with other training throughout the year to meet any hour requirements needed. |

Do I have to finish the course in one sitting? |

No. Our courses are set up so you can start and stop as needed so you can break the training up over a longer period of time. Our system will keep track of which sections and/or exams you have already taken. |

How long do I have to finish the course? |
A - |
Typically for 8 hour courses you have 30 days to complete the training, while longer courses (24 or 32 hours) allow for 60 days to complete the training. However, if you need longer we can work that out on a case by case basis, and we have never denied an extension request. |

What if I fail the exam(s)? |
A - |
You can take any exam as many times as needed to pass. Our exams are randomly selected from a pool of questions, therefore each time you take the exam it will be slightly different. |

Will I receive a wallet ID card? |
A - |
Wallet ID cards are an option when you sign up and cost slightly extra. You can have your ID card with or without a photo. To have a photo printed on your ID card, you must email us a useable photo before you finish the course.

Can I take the course from any location with internet access? |

Yes. Just sign in with your email and password from any computer that has internet access. |

Do I need my own email address to take online courses with Safety Unlimited, Inc.? |
A - |
Yes. Since your email address is your username, each student needs to have their own email address. We recommend you either get a free email address from Hotmail or Yahoo, or you can use an email address of a coworker as long as that coworker will never need to use the same email address for safety training with us. An email address can only be used for one person taking courses with us. |
