If a student does not pass the exam the first time, they may retake the exam as many times as necessary in order to pass.
EMTs require constant training and continuing education.
How This Course Applies...
1. A person has attempted the NREMT exam 3 times anywhere in the US and have not yet passed the exam.
THIS COURSE COUNTS 100% TO BE ELIGIBLE TO RETAKE THE EXAM 3 MORE TIMES.
2. A person is currently certified as an EMT in the State of California and would like the 24 hours to renew.
THIS COURSE COUNTS 100% FOR EMT RENEWAL THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA. IN ADDITION, THE PERSON WILL NEED A VALID CPR CARD AND EMT SKILLS TESTING
3. A person was certified with the NREMT but has expired. If it expired more than 2 years ago, they will need to retake the entire EMT course unless they have maintained a State EMT card anywhere in the US. If they have expired less than 2 years ago from the NREMT or more than 2 years ago if they have maintained a State EMT card.
THIS COURSE COUNTS 100% TO BE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE THE NREMT EXAM AND GET THEIR NREMT CARD BACK HOWEVER THEY WILL ALSO NEED A CPR CARD AND EMT SKILLS TESTING
4. A person has a valid NREMT and it has not yet expired and they want to renew it.
There are 3 options:
While online training can assist in an EMTs training, also important is receiving hands-on training.1. No hours and they can take the NREMT exam 1 time, if they pass, their NREMT card will be renewed
or
2. 24 hour EMT refresher and 48 hours of C.E..Of which a total of 34 hours can be done online. A max of 10 hours of EMT refresher can be done online and a maximum of 24 additional hours of CE can be done online.
IF YOU TAKE THIS COURSE, YOU CAN USE IT FOR 10 HOURS OF REFRESHER AND 14 HOURS OF CE OR 24 HOURS OF CE.YOU WILL NEED TO LET US KNOW WHICH METHOD YOU WILL BE USING BECUASE WE HAVE TO ISSUE A DIFFERENT CERTIFICATE FOR THE C.E. VERSUS THE EMT REFRESHER.
or
3. 72 hours of C.E. as long as at least 24 of them include the USDOT curriculum of EMT refresher. Using this option, a maximum of 24 hours can be done online.
THIS COURSE WILL COUNT 100 % TOWARDS C.E. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE NOT EXCEEDED THE ONLINE TOTAL OF HOURS AND YOU WILL NEED TO NOTIFY US SO THAT WE CAN ISSUE A DIFFERENT CERTIFICATE.
Training Providers should be used to ensure credibility and augment an employer's training program. Therefore, in addition to the training provided by an outside party, a student should receive site-specific training that is supplied by their own company. This training should target the company's unique approach to hazard prevention, including the use of site-specific equipment, health and safety policies, and emergency procedures. As a rule, this company specific training should be well documented.
The bottom line in ALL SITUATIONS is that employers are required to ensure that their employees are adequately trained to do their job.
