EMT Refresher Student have 1 day to process a refund as detailed below.
The student has a right to cancel the enrollment agreement and obtain a refund. The institution shall, for all students, without penalty or obligation, refund 100 percent of the amount paid for the institutional charges, less a reasonable deposit or application fee not to exceed $100.00, if the notice of cancellation is made prior to or on the first day of instruction. Furthermore, the student has the right to withdraw from a course of instruction at any time. A student who has completed 60 percent or less of the course of instruction shall be granted a pro rata refund of tuition and amounts paid for returnable equipment. Books, once they have been opened, are not refundable. If the student withdraws from the program of instruction after instruction has begun, the student is obligated to pay only for educational services rendered, plus the non-refundable registration fee. Any student who withdraws after completing 60% or more of the course will not receive a refund. There will be no refund issued if student fails program or any requisite requirements. Safety Unlimited, Inc. offers a distance education program where the instruction is not offered in real time and shall transmit the first lesson and any materials to students within seven days after the institution accepts the student for admission. The student shall have the right to cancel the agreement and receive a full refund pursuant to section CCR71750 before the first lesson and materials are received. Cancellation is effective on the date written notice of cancellation is sent.
In lieu of a refund, students are allowed to reschedule the class one time as long as they contact Safety Unlimited, Inc. in writing prior to the first day of class. Keep in mind that the above refund policy applies to the original class dates of instruction, not the rescheduled dates. Students will not be eligible to receive a refund of any kind after the original class dates have passed.
A student withdraws from the program after completing 5 hours of instruction. $125.00 less $25.00 registration fee and $00.00 STRF assessment fee = $100.00 divided by 24 hours = $4.17 hourly program charge. 5 hours X $4.17 = $20.85. $100.00 less $20.85 = $79.15 refund. This calculation does not include a refund for the books.
You must pay the state-imposed fee for the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) if all of the following applies to you: (1) you are a student, who is a California resident and prepays all or part of your tuition either by cash, guaranteed student loans, or personal loans; and (2) your total charges are not paid by any third-party payer such as an employer, government program or other payer unless you have a separate agreement to repay the third party. With a great number of adults using mobile devices--such as tablets and smart phones--to check emails, do business, and even enjoy movies. Safety Unlimited, Inc. knows it's time to make some changes.
We're excited to announce a selection of courses now available in HTML 5, making them more compatible with the browser on your mobile device (e.g., smartphone or tablet). Many of our existing courses are presented using Adobe Flash Player and require additional software that may not be available on your mobile device. By comparison, our mobile-ready courses require only the most recent version of your mobile device's web browser, allowing students to take the course anywhere they have an internet connection.
You can switch between your computer and your mobile device, and our Learning Management System will keep track of your progress. There is no need to complete an entire section in order to move from one device to another.
We are working on making ALL of our online courses MOBILE DEVICE READY. This gives you, the customer, the choice and flexibility to take our online training on your computer or from the comfort of your own palm, wherever you may be. You now have complete control of when and where you would like to take your online training!
Mobile versions of this sort of training are new, but below are some Pros and Cons that we have noticed during our extensive testing.
During our testing we noticed that tablets work much better than smartphones, simply due to their screen size. The newer the device, the better the result. We are also aware that the course will not work on the first generation iPad, nor older Android Tablets. The best way to see how it works on your device is to click on the DEMO button on this page.
Because this is a Beta version of our course, you may encounter some issues as we work out the kinks. If you have difficulties with this course, please contact Customer Support.
While HTML5 makes taking this course on mobile devices possible, not all mobile browsers are optimized for HTML5, meaning you may not have complete functionality. If you have difficulty taking this course using the browser on your mobile device, you may need to use a different browser.
Test the functionality of your browser using HTML5 and compare it to the performance of other browsers. If you find other browsers are more compatible than your own, you may want to make the switch.
