About this training

This is a 1-day, 8-hour, OSHA compliant HAZWOPER hands on classroom training session; it is combined with the 32 hour online portion to be the last 8 hours of the 40 hour HAZWOPER training.

The objectives of this course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e), for general industry, and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(8) for construction.

How long is this training?

This training will take a minimum of 8 hours to complete. Our standard 1-day delivery format is one 8-hour day. Other options are available for client-hosted classes.

What topics does this training cover?

The OSHA 8-Hour HAZWOPER Hands On Training classroom course will cover the following topics:

• SCBAs
• Air Purifying Respirators
• Level A Ensembles
• Level B Ensembles
• Level C Ensembles
• Level D Ensembles
• Monitoring and Detection Devices
• Decontamination set up
• Sampling tools
• And other available tools

Who should take this training?

This course should be taken by anyone requiring the OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification who requires hands-on training and cannot complete their training entirely online.

How else can I take this training?

This classroom training is offered as either open enrollment or on-site, employer-hosted training.

Is this course certified?

Each participant who successfully completes this course will be issued a Fed-OSHA certificate from Safety Unlimited, Inc. in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120. This course is also intended to meet any HAZWOPER training requirements for the EPA and State OSHA regulations as well. Students will be given online access to an Adobe™ pdf certificate that can be downloaded, saved, or printed as many times as needed, as well as a mailed PVC wallet ID card with an optional photo.
